Mason's Baptism!!

On the very day of his 8th birthday, Mason Dee Thompson was baptized and confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints by his loving father, Travis Dee Thompson. It was a very special day for a very special boy. To me, his grandmother, it was especially poignant because it was my birthday too and I can't think of a better birthday gift than to know that my children are so faithfully teaching their children to embrace the beautiful principles of life taught by the Savior. Thank you Mason for being baptized on this day! I can't think of a better birthday gift for either one of us!!

A Baby Blessing and a Baptism!!

This month of March has been an eventful one!!! On March 7th, Mike and Traci's baby girl, Emberlyn Lois Weston, was given her name and a very special blessing by her loving father, Michael J. Weston. We are so happy that they are actually here in Utah so we could all be there for the special occasion!! It was a wonderful day and we are so in awe of this beautiful little baby and her safe arrival. Mike and Traci are doing a beautiful job of creating a loving home for their two darling little girls, Ellanie and Emberlyn. We love them all so much!!!

A Baby Elephant!!!

Jackson, Dad, and Mom went to Hogle Zoo on Friday and guess what we saw?? A brand-spanking-new baby elephant!!!! It was the cutest "little" one even though it weighed over 200 pounds when it was born!!

We also saw a baby giraffe! He was cute, but he just wanted to sit and stare at us!!

A Weekend to Remember

This weekend was General Conference and so, in keeping with tradition, those of our family who live nearby made their way to Bear Lake to spend the weekend enjoying each others' company, eating endlessly, watching Conference on TV, and ending with a testimony meeting. Although there were members of our family who couldn't be there, we felt their love and testimonies across the miles. Here are a few pictures of those who came:

Three of the cute girls who made dinner--Lora, Melanie, and Jill. Michele helped too but didn't want her picture taken! They are all great cooks!

Melanie and Kevin--we're so happy to have Kevin in our family!!!!

Cruz was pretty serious about watching Conference...

Jackson, taking it all in.

Here is beautiful Jaisa flashing her pretty smile. She is such a little cutie and we all love her so much...

Michele and Travis--Never a dull moment with them around!

Jackson the Cub Scout!

Here are Jackson and his buddy Camren showing off their pet rocks they made at Pack Meeting! The stamp on his cheek is for receiving his Bobcat badge!
This is the collection Jack shared at Pack Meeting...Do these helmets look familiar, Chris???

It's good his big brother Chris gave him his collection of helmets to get him started collecting things! Thanks Chris!!!

Do I really know how to BLOG?

As you can see, Zoey had a fun time putting her "magic fairy dust" on all of the cookies!
